First of all I do not own the following characters and this it is my fanfiction from another RP site:
Trey Hawker
Aarielle Gaeastorm
Fury flamed in her eyes as she held the sword out in front of her. ‘How could she!?’
Dakota took another swipe at the training wood and a piece of it broke off. ‘She lied to me!’ Dakota let all her heated anger out on the training wood and soon there was nothing left of it. Dakota slumped down; she knew that this ran deeper than just her lying and that something big inside of her that she had always hid away was rearing its ugly head. Rain began to fall and all she could think of was a void of nothingness. It seemed that her very being was escaping to it, away from the harm of others but also away from their love. Her whole being was numb and she knew it, slowly it was consuming her until her eyes went black and she no longer felt a need to fight for anything. The red that once consumed her, that made up the very element of her being turned to a dark shade of purple. The warmth she once possessed became as cold as ice and her soft features hardened. Now she saw the world in black and white, death had claimed her and she became its latest prodigy.
The world seemed to spin and she was falling from its graces, now a new world was opening up to her, a world in which her heart no longer existed and she loved it. The last sun had set for her when her heart and mind was pushed to far, now it was time for her to push. New boundaries were to be broken and a new time was to be fashioned; no longer was she bound by rules rather she made the rules. Could anyone see her now, could anyone know her suffering, who could save the very thing that didn’t want to be saved.
Shadows became a fact of Dakota’s life now and all colour was faded from her sights. She jumped from building to building unseen to any even those that had the chance to look. All she wanted was trouble and she knew where to find it. Dakota reached the house of Logos and spied in through the glass roof.
“What fools these people; all this is mine for the taking.” Dakota slipped into the shadows; she had become quite efficient in this talent since her transition.
Dakota made her way around to the first floor toilets; she waited for the all clear and then put her hand up to the window. Somehow when she accepted her darker being new talents had come with it, the glass that her hand was firmly on now disappeared underneath it. Dakota smiled as she entered the gents toilets; she walked past the mirror and stopped to look at herself. “Dakota this should have been you a long time ago.” Dakota’s grin looked so menacing that she felt that even Raddick, captain of the RaRe would cower in fear. Dakota had no interest in her figure right now; she was after one thing and one thing in particular. She opened the door of the bathroom just enough to slip out and then into the shadows; she had recently mastered this to a T and not even a wielder of darkness would know she was there. She traced the corridors until, there it was, her objective. She silently pushed open the door and walked in; the surroundings were all dark and covered in violet. The owner of this place was a Selotian and a very important one at that. Dakota walked slowly up to the stand that held her treasure; it was a very rare stone that was given to a young lady of great power and wisdom. This stone held the power of time and to ability to see all things seen and unseen, and that is what held great interest to Dakota. She reached the stand and to her horror it wasn’t there, the stone wasn’t there.
“The stone’s not there.” A mans voice solemnly called to her it seemed tired and worn.
“State the obvious.” Dakota muttered under her breath as she begun to turn around. “So where is it?” Dakota’s eyes flashed at the man and for a split instant she thought she knew him. He seemed to look at her funny when she faced him, as if he knew her but Dakota just put it down to the fact that she had got this far.
The man studied her face. “Dakota, is that you.”
He knew her and Dakota didn’t like that one bit because she didn’t now him “Who are you?” Dakota asked hesitantly yet still full with defiance.
“Dakota it’s me Trey.”
“Stop saying my name like you know me!”
“Dakota…” Trey was hurt, he had lost his love a long time ago and now she was right there in front of him and she didn’t remember who he was.
Dakota had enough she drew her sword and disappeared into the shadows only to reappear fight in front of Trey, her blade resting on his neck.
“You used to only use your fans” Trey said calmly, he knew Dakota only used her sword when she needed to and that she never liked to kill.
“The sword kills easier.” Dakota flashed with a smile at him.
“I won’t fight you Dakota.” Dakota for some reason couldn’t bring her sword to cut through him and this frustrated her to no ends.
Dakota huffed and began to run for an escape, at first she thought Trey wasn’t following her but he was and he seemed to cloud her mind. She shook it off and ran up the stairs and down a corridor. BAM! Dakota was thrown into a wall and was winded, what hit her she didn’t know but it looked like it was coming back at her. ‘What’s wrong with you Dakota, you’ve never been this scattered.’ Dakota couldn’t understand it; it was all because of that guy, Trey. She looked up to see Trey running towards her screaming something at her attacker, sounded like stop! Dakota felt a huge gust of wind pass over her and she was finding it hard to stay standing where she was. Something shattered behind her but she didn’t know what; a second gust of wind was sent her way and she only just managed to stand her ground. Suddenly it all went dark and an electrical current came hurling for her sending her body flying backwards and into a fit of shakes. Dakota knew that this was her end; she opened her eyes and saw Trey running after her but she he seemed to be so far away. Dakota wondered why she wasn’t stopping; she didn’t think the corridor was that big, it wasn’t until she looked to her left that she saw the shattered glass of the window and that she was going through it. Dakota reached out her hand to grab something; she didn’t quite like the idea of being the new paint on the rocks below. Trey ran past the guards that protected the house, he didn’t want them to hurt her but they didn’t know, they couldn’t see who she was. Dakota’s hand reached out and Trey grabbed it, her body slamming against the wall of the house.
“You caught me?” Dakota was puzzled, and flicker of a memory flashed across her eyes of a man who caught her before she fell into the shadows of no return, he had grabbed her hand just like this and pulled her out into the safety of his arms. Dakota began to remember and her eyes welled with tears, she was Dakota, Dakota Sway not an embodiment of darkness. She looked up to Trey with tearful eyes “You can’t save me this time…” The grip the held Dakota’s hand was slipping and Dakota accepted her fate; she let go of his hand and closed her eyes letting the memories of a time once lost graced her mind as she fell.
Trey couldn’t just let her get away this time; he took one last look at life and his friends then accepted death. He leaped out after her shutting out the screams of him friends as he jumped. He let his body free fall to catch up to her and soon she was within his reach so he grabbed her. Dakota didn’t know what happened, she felt arms wrap around her and soon a body followed. “Trey, but how, why?”
“You said something back there: that I couldn’t save you this time. Look around you Dakota you hear that?” Dakota listened to everything around her as she was falling and for the first time in a long time she heard it, the sound of the melody of life. Dakota smiled for what seemed like the first time and all her hard features returned to their soft but strong complexion. “I taught you that.” Dakota said in jest, he really had saved her just like so long ago. “Thank you Trey.” She let herself be hugged and she hugged back, together they accepted death and together they fell now only moments from the ground below.
Aari awoke from her slumber by a violet light at the end of her bed. The stone of time was glowing and she was transfixed by its beauty. Aari slipped out of her bed and gracefully walked over to it, her lilac nightdress flowing as she did. She stood in front of the stone and images appeared before her, images of people she knew and didn’t know. She watched as one in particular played out before her eyes and tears begun to run down her face. “Your lives are still young and you are still much needed.” She raised he arms out to her sides and chanted a prayer and she bought them back down to her side. As she did this the stone glowed and the people falling in the image before her had slowed until they gently hit the ground. She smiled as she watched the two people hug “Great power comes and goes and life is lost and born, but the power of true love never fades it is eternal.” Aari walked over to her bed where she lay down next to her love, her King and fell peacefully asleep.
